Join us April 22 at the Helper Auditorium from

5:30 – 7:00 to discuss the new board.

(Skip down to Board Positions)

Helper City is excited to update the community on a proposal regarding the Main Street America Board and Helper Arts Alliance Board, the non-profit responsible for the Helper Arts Festival. This proposal to combine these two boards will create a single resource for information, funding and support for community members, event leaders and serve as a strategic partner with the city. This is a restructuring and will open up opportunities to interested people who want to serve the Helper community.

This new board will be community driven and will serve as a city partner but not be a part of the city. It will refresh and redefine community participants and serve as a collaborative and transparent resource for all. Want to throw a special event and need to close the street? Looking for graphic support to create a poster? This is the board to check with for direction! It centralizes the “ask” to get you the information you need to move forward. It will also incorporate the Main Street America tenants focused on design, promotion, organization and economic vitality, building on the work already completed on Main Street and focusing on enhancing small businesses. â€‹

Join us April 22 at the Helper Auditorium from 5:30 – 7:00 to discuss the new board, and have the opportunity to fill out an application to serve and discuss why this is beneficial and how you can participate! We’ll have state representatives from Main Street to discuss the program and board members from the Helper Arts Alliance and local Main Street board who have spent a great deal of time evaluating, discussing and meeting to figure out these next steps and are excited to merge and share next steps!
